UFC 136 Results: Jose Aldo Takes Care of Kenny Florian Via Unanimous Decision
Jose Aldo has officially defeated his "toughest test to date," as he handed Kenny Florian a unanimous-decision loss (49-46 on all scorecards), and retained his UFC featherweight title.
Throughout the fight, Florian attempted to press Aldo up against the cage and then get him down—which he did a few times. But for the most part, Aldo defended the takedown beautifully.
The rest of the fight consisted of Aldo getting the better of the striking exchanges, which was no real surprise to anyone.
The real surprise was that Florian was able to last all 25 minutes with Aldo and not get knocked out in brutal fashion—or at all, for that matter.
Florian has now lost in his past three title fights, and there may be nowhere left for him to go if he wants a title.
On a side note, where is the explosive-finishing Jose Aldo?
I miss that guy.
