If Gray Maynard can successfully follow these three keys he will take the belt from Frankie Edgar. This is the third meeting between these two. Edgar won the first match, but Maynard is a much more complete fighter.

They are still very evenly matched though as the draw in their last bout indicates. This is anyone's fight that Edgar will take if he does the following.

Don't Go for KO

The best way for Maynard to get a KO in this match will be for him to not even thinking about getting a KO.

Frankie Edgar's footwork is too good for Maynard to come launching in for one big blow. This is going to leave Maynard tired and vulnerable.

Maynard has to plan his shots and be accurate with them when he does. If he can do that successfully, it will lead to a knockout in the natural course of the fight.

Maynard can't get caught relying solely on his boxing. He needs to mix it up early. Throw in some kicks, subs and feints and clinches.
