NFL Picks Week 5: 5 Games Sure to Come Down to the Wire
Week 5 of the NFL is going to contain some nail-biters, and these five games will all come down to the final drive.
With teams like the Philadelphia Eagles, Buffalo Bills, Dallas Cowboys and Detroit Lions playing games that always seem to come down to the wire, you can be sure to see a few of them on this list.
These games could come down to a last-second field goal, and if you haven't had enough of those close games, we'll have five more this week.
Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions
1 of 5When NFC North rivals meet up there is usually some blood shed, and a good game on TV. This Monday Night game will be no different.
The 4-0 Detroit Lions and 2-2 Chicago Bears meet up this week, and the Lions will have another nail-biter.
The Bears are set to go up early on the Lions because of Matt Forte, and then their defense will need to hold off the inevitable Lions' comeback.
It will be interesting to see if the Lions can come back against a good defense, and we will find out on Monday.
New York Jets at New England Patriots
2 of 5This will be the first meeting between these teams since the New York Jets bounced the New England Patriots from the divisional round of the playoffs last season.
The Patriots have a stellar offensive attack through the air, and not even the Jets' secondary will be able to completely stop them. However, their defense will hold off the Patriots to some degree, and they will then rely on quarterback Mark Sanchez to pick apart the New England secondary.
The Jets and Patriots always play good, close games (even if they aren't always clean), and they will give us another one this week.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at San Francisco 49ers
3 of 5This game features two 3-1 teams that are fighting for control in their respective divisions. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers and San Francisco 49ers have been surprisingly good, and they will meet up in San Fran.
The 49ers have held teams to the fourth-fewest rushing yards allowed this season, and they will nullify LeGarrette Blount this week.
This game pits two equal teams against each other, and I firmly believe it will come down to a last-second field goal.
Kansas City Chiefs at Indianapolis Colts
4 of 5Not all close games have to be between good teams right? The Kansas City Chiefs and Indianapolis Colts are among the NFL's worst this season, and they will be fighting in a game that will only matter for draft picks.
Because these teams are both so bad it will be nice to see them play a competitive game, and neither will be able to blow the other one out because neither team has the firepower to do so.
This game should have featured Jamaal Charles and Peyton Manning, but it will come down to the final drive without them.
Philadelphia Eagles at Buffalo Bills
5 of 5The 1-3 Philadelphia Eagles, who are no longer known as the Dream Team, are traveling to Buffalo to take on the Bills.
These two teams have problems when they have leads because they both seem to blow them, yet they can mount comebacks.
This is arguably the most interesting game of the week because it pits the surprisingly good Bills with the surprisingly bad Eagles.
This game has to come down to the wire—it's only fitting isn't it?
