NFL Picks Week 5: San Diego Chargers and 3 Teams That Need Blowout Wins
Plenty of teams have good records, but they are missing a certain factor. It's often called the "it factor," but whatever it is, these teams seem to be lacking it.
There is plenty of good news though. The first bit of good news is what I said earlier, the teams are doing fine. The second bit of good news is that there is plenty of time to find something and become a far more dominant team.
These teams are in matchups this week that they need to win big in. If they don't, they will be fine on paper, but lacking something that will hurt them down the road.

San Diego Chargers
Considering their wins have been against Minnesota, Kansas City and Miami, this team has not been dominant enough.
Still, you really can't expect a lot better than 3-1. Week 5 is another favorable matchup for the Chargers, against the lowly Denver Broncos.
Just beating the Broncos won't do enough to make anyone think that the Chargers are AFC contenders. They really need to come out of their shadow and handily beat Denver.
New York Giants
The Giants' best win this year is more known for the collapse of their opponent (the Eagles) than anything else.
Otherwise, their only wins have been against the Rams and Cardinals, who have a combined record of 1-7.
Now, against another NFC West bottom feeder, the Giants need to come out and win big. Seattle is a hopeless team away from the Pacific Northwest. Now, they are going all the way across the country in a game that starts at 10 a.m. Seattle time.
Generally speaking, West Coast teams don't do well in that time slot. The Giants need to play to that stereotype and blow the Seahawks out.
New Orleans Saints
Now, the Saints are probably the best team on this list. Still, they aren't far from being 2-2 and weren't anywhere near as dominant against the Jaguars as they probably should have been.
All can be forgotten if they go out and manhandle the Panthers. Cam Newton will throw for a lot of yards and that's fine. The Saints aggressive defense, however, is the kind that will give rookies trouble.
The Saints need to do that to Newton. If they don't, it will be hard to take them seriously as a team on Green Bay's level.
