Week 5 Waiver Wire: Brandon Pettigrew and 3 Fantasy Football Studs Worth a Shot
It’s already Week 5 of the fantasy football season, and with Sunday just hours away, it’s time to get your team ready for the first week of bye weeks by working the waiver wire.
There are many players on the fantasy football waiver wire that are worth a look, but these following three players are the most likely to benefit from bye weeks and poor play from many starters across the NFL.

Inside NFL Prospect Getting Drafted 🙌
If you hadn’t noticed, the Detroit Lions are one of the most dangerous offensive teams in the NFL this season, and the return to 100 percent health for tight end Brandon Pettigrew is a welcomed addition for the squad.
With the Lions taking on division rival Chicago Bears on Monday Night Football, the pressure of proving they are the real deal will be heavy, but Pettigrew can help the team by beating the Bears' run-stopping linebackers in the pass game.
While his numbers this season haven’t been out of this world and the fact that Tarvaris Jackson is throwing the ball to him doesn’t bode well for his fantasy success, Rice is still the No. 1 red zone target.
The Seattle Seahawks spent a lot of money on the tall receiver, and head coach Pete Carroll will throw to his new receiving toy as often as possible.
Stevan Ridley
While the three-back system they implement in New England is terrible on fantasy owners, the injury to Danny Woodhead and the sub-par season from the law firm of BenJarvus Green-Ellis means more time for rookie Stevan Ridley.
With almost 100 yards and a touchdown on just 10 carries last week, expect more of a workload for the speedy back, and some possibly huge fantasy points.
