Frank Gore: 49ers Running Back Says Exactly What's on NFL Fans' Minds
Frank Gore just called out the Philadelphia Eagles. Now it is up to the self-professed Dream Team to answer.
Vince Young did the Eagles no favors when he mentioned his 2011 squad as a Dream Team. The label has haunted the Eagles at every turn.
So far, their season has resembled a nightmare as they have dropped games to teams they really should be beating. They have the talent but not the will. At least, that is the thought that has crossed every NFL observer who has seen them under-perform on a weekly basis.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
On Friday morning, Frank Gore was on ESPN2's First Take. That is when Gore gave an interesting assessment of the team the 'Niners just beat.
Gore stated in broad terms that the Eagles simply quit.
"I think playing that second half and the way we came out, the Eagles didn't want to play no more. We just kept pounding and kept pounding and making plays and we kind of knocked the fight out of them.
"
There is some credence to what Gore had to say. The 'Niners came out in the second half with a renewed sense of purpose.
The Eagles couldn't match the intensity that the underdog had after the intermission. Gore pounded the ball, and the Eagles didn't have an answer.
I would stop short of saying the Eagles quit. I think the issue is that the Eagles have a soft linebacker corps that is mired in inexperience and an evolving scheme.
The Eagles have been abysmal against the run. So it is more the case that the Eagles ran headlong into the worst kind of matchup in the second half last Sunday.
The sentiment on the team has finally moved from a Dream Team ethos to one of proving their worth. The best thing that could have happened for them is for Gore to make his feelings known.
The Eagles need a fire to be lit underneath them. Being called out by a player that just beat you will serve a purpose. This is prime locker-room material.
If they don't answer in kind this weekend, we will know that Gore was right all along. This team is lacking the one component to win a Super Bowl—heart.
