Fantasy Football Week 5 Start 'Em, Sit 'Em: Fred Jackson and 3 Stars for Week 5

Gabe ZaldivarOct 6, 2011

These are my favorite fantasy football players. You don't have to wonder if they will produce for you on Sunday, because these guys are just golden, and Fred Jackson is the best of the bunch in week 5.

Kicking your feet up in nonchalance, that is a rarity in fantasy football. More often than not, I am pulling my hair out over who to start and whether they will live up to their promise.

They then kill your Sunday my rushing for less yards than I took to get to the fridge. Chris Johnson, I am looking at you.

Welcome to the three dudes of success in Week 5. If you are lucky enough to own them, you can kick up those feet and be as nonchalant as you want to be.

1. Fred Jackson: Jackson had a mediocre game last week against the Bengals, especially when you consider what he is capable of.

On Sunday, one of the most consistent backs in the business gets the Philadelphia Eagles. The young linebacker corps cannot be counted on to corral even suspect running games.

The Eagles give up 139.5 ground yards per game, good for 30th in the league. This will be a game with a bevy of Fred Jackson highlights.

2. Cam Newton: I am finally on board. Newton is nails. The young gun just racks up yards at a prolific rate. It doesn't matter that this is first year or even if he is playing a Super Bowl contender.

Newton simply makes the Panthers a better team. Shame on you if you continue to question his value as a fantasy stud. He will continue to put up nearly 400 yards, and there is nothing you can do about it.

3. Julio Jones: Speaking of youthful producers, Julio Jones is a burner that is getting consistent love from quarterback Matt Ryan

He has back-to-back games of over 100 yards and isn't about to stop against the Green Bay Packers. The Packers have a questionable secondary, and Jones will flourish on Sunday.
