2012 NFL Mock Draft: Justin Blackmon and 3 Biggest Game-Changers Not Named Luck

Wes ODonnellOct 6, 2011

There are more game-changers in the 2012 NFL draft than just Andrew Luck.

While he is the biggest prize of all, only one team will be able to draft him and the rest will have to "settle" for someone else.

Settling isn't such a bad thing in this draft though.

Here are three of the biggest game-changers not named Andrew Luck in the first round.

Justin Blackmon, WR, Oklahoma State

The 6'1", 211-pound receiver is a production machine.

Blackmon can turn short catches into long ones, is a threat to score from anywhere on the field and has tremendous overall athleticism.

He isn't a burner, but he knows how to set up defenders and he's the ultimate competitor when the ball is in the air.

Had he come out last year he would have been a first-round pick. This year he's going to wind up in the top.

He's currently mocked to the St. Louis Rams at No. 2 overall.

Janoris Jenkins, CB, North Alabama

The former Florida Gator is a bit of a forgotten entity this season in the media spotlight. Scouts haven't forgotten him though and he's going to wind up in the first round regardless of his past misdeeds.

The nearly 5'10", 177-pound cornerback is an elite cover corner. He gambles a bit too much for me at times (similar to Asante Samuel) but he also makes big play and after big play.

When he gets the ball in his hands he is a threat to score every time, and he's active and willing to make plays in the run game as well.

He plays bigger than his size, experienced the best competition in the country for three years before being dismissed from the team and will be a game-changing NFL player.

Jenkins is currently mocked to the Chicago Bears at No. 15.

Mohamed Sanu, WR, Rutgers

This may be a reach for some, but the all-purpose player is as big a game-changer as there is in the class. Whether he's lined up at wide receiver, running back, quarterback or on special teams, Sanu makes plays.

He went to Rutgers expecting to play safety and wound up a starting receiver and Wildcat QB in his first year with the team.

He's since moved to wide receiver full-time with the addition of more skill players to the program and he continues to develop into an extremely intriguing prospect.

Sanu is currently mocked to the New England Patriots at No. 31.
