Flyers vs. Bruins: Live Blog, Score, Highlights and NHL Analysis
The Boston Bruins and the Philadelphia Flyers will kick off the 2011-12 NHL season tonight at the TD Garden in Boston, Massachusetts.
The Bruins are the defending Stanley Cup champions for the first time since the 1972-73 season, and will raise their 2011 Stanley Cup championship banner prior to the game.
Boston starts its quest to defend the hardest trophy in sports to win in consecutive years. The last NHL team to repeat as Stanley Cup champions was the Detroit Red Wings during the 1997 and 1998 seasons.
