NFL Picks Week 5: Who Will Sink to 0-5?
In case you haven't watched the Minnesota Vikings yet this season, let me save you the time: they're awful.
What was supposed to be a team only lacking competence at the quarterback position has in fact turned out to be a mess all over the field and a roster utterly devoid of clutch players.
The Vikings enter Sunday at 0-4 and welcome the 1-3 Arizona Cardinals to town. While it would seem the Vikings could finally have a win withing their grasp, don't bet on that too soon. After all, the Vikings did drop a 22-17 decision to the then-winless Kansas City Chiefs in Week 4.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
What will really hurt the Vikings in this week's game is the fact that they are allowing opponents to throw for 286.3 yards per game. That ranks them 28th in the NFL, and while the Cardinals haven't been exactly setting the world on fire, quarterback Kevin Kolb and receiver Larry Fitzgerald do form a dangerous pass-catch combination.
The Cardinals are currently 14th in the NFL in passing offense and 16th in rushing offense. If Beanie Wells can get things going on the ground like he did in a Week 4 loss to the New York Giants—138 yards and three touchdowns on 27 carries—that should open things up for Fitzgerald and Kolb.
Kolb hasn't exactly been the savior the Cardinals hoped he would be. In his first year in Arizona, the Houston product has completed 80 of 130 passes (61.5 percent) for 1,049 yards with five touchdowns and four interceptions. His quarterback rating of 87.0 is average, but should be much higher after this weekend's matchup with the Vikings.
While the Indianapolis Colts are the only other 0-4 team in action this week, they get the hapless Kansas City Chiefs at home. Even considering how bad the Colts have been, the Chiefs could find a way to drop that game and give Indianapolis its first win.
The Vikings are the safest bet to be the first team to drop to 0-5.
