Week 13 Fantasy Football Pickups

Hot Stove New YorkDec 2, 2008

Quarterbacks

J.P Losman (Bills)- Losman took over for Trent Edwards in the second half and completed 11-of-17 passes for 93 yards. If Edwards misses Week 14 with a groin injury then Losman would start against the Dolphins in Toronto who rank 26th against the pass.

Ken Dorsey (Browns)- With Brady Quinn and Derek Anderson out for the year third string Ken Dorsey is now the starting QB. He has tough matchups against the Titans and Eagles in weeks 14 and 15. However, it gets easier when the Browns host the Bengals in Week 16.

Runningbacks

Brandon Jackson (Packers)- Jackson carried the ball 11 times for 80 yards against the Panthers last week. He did a formidale job filling in for Ryan Grant who missed the second half of the game due to a sprained thumb. If Jackson starts in Week 14 he could do well against a Texan rush defense that allows 129 yards per game.

Carnell “Cadillac” Williams (Bucs)- Williams scored his first TD since last September aginst the Saints last week. Even though he carried the ball just four times he should get more touches in December.

Honorable mention: Tashard Choice (Cowboys)

Wide Receivers

Harry Douglas (Falcons)- Douglas has seven receptions for 105 yards and a TD his past two games. He has a favorable matchup in Week 14 against a soft Saints pass defense that is ranked 24th in the league.

Amani Toomer (Giants)- Toomer was targeted nine times against the Redskins last week. He finished the game five catches for 85 yards and a TD. Toomer should build on his success while WR Plaxico Burress is out.

Honorable mention: Brandon Stoakley (Broncos)

Tight End

Martellus Bennett (Cowboys)- Bennett has caught a TD in three straight games. He is behind TE Jason Witten but remains a key red zone target in a potent offense.

Honorable mention: Justin Peele (Falcons)

Kicker

Matt Stover (Ravens)- Stover has at least 10 points in three of his past five games. With the Ravens offense moving the ball better it has given the 19-year veteran more kicking chances.

Honorable mention: Jeff Reed (Steelers)

Defense

Denver Broncos- The inconsistent Broncos held the Jets to 17 points last week and recorded two sacks and an INT. They also returned a fumble for a TD and should do well again against the Chiefs at home this week.
