Maryland Football Uniforms: New Pants Make This Week's Uniform the Best One Yet
Nothing like busting out the “A” game uniforms for a big contest against a ranked opponent.
The Terrapins are traveling to Bobby Dodd Stadium on Saturday to take on the No. 13-ranked Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets, and will be sporting a jersey that also features a lot of yellow.
The new jersey, shown to the world via a tweet by head coach Randy Edsall, looks similar to the one they wore earlier in the season.
The biggest difference is the pants. Instead of going for the all-white or all-black look, the Under Armour team decided to go with the all-yellow.
Personally, I like the look.
It’s not everyday you see a uniform that’s able to prominently feature three different colors (without looking like the craziness of Week 1 against Miami). The all-black helmet looks very cool and it contrasts very well with the multi-colored jersey.
The red stripes on the side and on the shoulder make this one the best combination the Terps have sported this season.
Maryland has created quite a buzz this season with all of the outlandish and off-the-wall jersey combinations—too bad their on-the-field buzz doesn’t quite measure up.
They sit at 2-2, with the two losses being by a combined 37 points. Fans are still in complete shock that they got spanked by the Temple Owls of the mighty MAC by a ridiculous 38-7 margin.
It’ll be interesting to see how they fare against a Yellow Jackets team that is currently ranked No. 1 in the nation in rushing yards and No. 2 in points scored at 51.6. This is going to be one tough road game to win.
Regardless of how they fare on the field Saturday, at least the Terps know they’ll be the best looking team in all of college football.
