Philadelphia Eagles' Fan All-Call: Multiple Deep Breaths
Okay, so the first quarter of the season turned out to be a cold glass of something distasteful in the city of the loving brother. Step one, step away from the ledge; the concrete is unforgiving and it is hard to bounce back from that ending. Pun intended.
Since Vince Young stated he thought the current roster of players felt like a "dream team" of talent, it appears the faithful have shaken a bit at its core.
Before we get into step two, let us not forget, Young was responding to a question about being one of four acquisitions that included a slew of guys you fans already know. His immediate response was "dream team."

Just to clarify, Young did not say, “Hey, reporter X with the tape recorder, we are the ‘dream team,’ and we will win the Super Bowl in our current capacity.” Nod your head please.
Step two, revisit the official Miami Heat block party before the 2010-2011 season. Do you remember the telephone game from Kindergarten? Good.
Here is what LeBron James said while responding to a question from the voice of the Heat, Eric Reid:
“Not two, not three, not four, not five, not six, not seven…. Ah, and when I say that, and when I say that, I really believe it. I’m not just up here blowing smoke at none of these fans, that’s not what I’m about, I’m about business. We believe we can win multiple championships if we take care of business and do it the right way. “
That does not sound like a guarantee to win six or seven championships, does it? It actually is a guy saying that he and his teammates believe they can win six or seven championships. There is a major difference. One is a guarantee, and the other is the belief that every good team should have.
Lest we forget, the Heat were 10-8 after the first 18 games. That team then went 15-1 in the month on of December, on its way to the NBA Finals. Nod your head again.
Step three, stay away from the people who harbor a disdain for the person who wears No. 7. Trying to change the mind of an individual who thinks the Eagles somehow made a mistake by giving him the second chance to make the organization a lot more money, I mean, himself a lot more money, is hopeless. Sorry for the parapraxis.
After Week 3, this statement appeared on the Los Angeles Times website: “Three games into the season, it is clear that they made the wrong choice at quarterback.”
Maybe this would be true if one could safely assume that no footage existed from last season and video game Vick, first name Michael, was back in the Yard.
This leads us into the final and most important step: Watch the games with understanding, not pure emotion. After the contest, withhold judgment until a cheesesteak is consumed off of Pattison Ave. Then shake your head violently if Sunday’s result is not favorable.
