New York Jets: 5 Keys For Rex Ryan To Upset New England
Hello everyone this is my very first article for Bleacher Report. Today I will be talking about five ways Rex Ryan and the New York Jets can upset Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. As you all know, this is a very bitter rivalry, and this is the first time these two teams meet since the Jets eliminated the Patriots from the playoffs last January. So lets get to it:
5. Exploit the Patriots Defense
The Patriots' defense ranks 21st in the NFL, giving up 24.5 points per game, while the Jets offense ranks 11th in the league. After that debacle in Baltimore, I expect the Jets to be ripping apart this defense.

4. Offensive line must play better
This line is in disarray ever since the retirement of Damian Woody. Sanchez was sacked twice and was on his back every time a play ended. Note to the Jets: Damian Woody is not coming back. They must play better.
3. Contain the playmakers
The Patriots really don’t have a star wide receiver (if you think that Chad Ochocinco is a star receiver, your sadly mistaken). What they do have is what I like to call “pesky playmakers.” The Jets must contain these pesky playmakers, also known as Wes Welker and Rob Gronkowski. Their defense must cover them at every chance they get. If not, expect a long game for the Jets defense.
2. Mark Sanchez
Oh Mark, what are we going to do with you? Your game is regressing. You have to start playing like you’re an NFL quarterback. Also, it doesn’t really help that you have a 46% completion rate with one touchdown and seven interceptions at Gillette Stadium. Like the title of Rex Ryan’s book: Play Like You Mean It.
1. Stop Tom Brady
There’s no doubt about this being No. 1. The Jets should use the same defensive scheme they used to beat up Brady last time they saw him. They should not blitz as much either.
