Fantasy Football Week 5 Rankings: Jeremy Maclin and 3 Best WRs
While a number of fantasy wide receivers are having excellent seasons, helped by a year defined by high-yardage quarterback play, this week three stand out as must-starts primed for huge games.
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Jeremy Maclin is an excellent starting wide receiver this week. While he has dropped two potential game-winning passes in two games this season, that statistic hurts the Eagles far more than it hurts your fantasy team, and it's unlikely he will find himself in that situation every week going forward.
What benefits your team the most is that the Eagles are taking on the Buffalo Bills. With the Eagles defense struggling both against the run and the pass, the team could easily find itself behind, relying on quarterback Michael Vick's arm to keep the team competitive. This means more targets and more catches for Maclin, who already has 26 on the year, for 334 yards and two touchdowns.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
New York Giants wide receiver Hakeem Nicks benefits from a defensive mismatch this week, as his team hosts the Seattle Seahawks, with their No. 30 pass defense. On average, the Seahawks allow a staggering 77.3 yards to No. 1 wide receivers, practically guaranteeing a big day for Nicks should you have him on your fantasy roster.
The Arizona Cardinals' Larry Fitzgerald is also set for a big day against the Minnesota Vikings. The go-to receiver for quarterback Kevin Kolb, Fitzgerald had eight receptions for 102 yards last week against the Giants, and has 23 catches for 361 yards and two touchdowns so far this season.
He's targeted far more than any other Cardinals receiver and now that he's facing a defensively-challenged Vikings squad this week, he will match or exceed his 11 targets from Week 4.
I see the Cardinals gaining a large early lead, which means they will likely run to maintain it. But it will be Fitzgerald's talent that gets them that lead in the first place, meaning major points for your fantasy team this week.
