NFL Power Rankings: Philadelphia Eagles and the 3 Teams We Can't Figure out
I know what I'm going to get when I watch teams like the Packers, Texans, Saints and Patriots play each week.
Down-field passing, so-so defense and a lot of points.
I also know what I'm going to get when I watch the Dolphins, Rams, Chiefs and Colts.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Errant passing, below-average defense and a lot of points—for the other team.
However, there are a group of teams that frankly, I can't quite figure out right now...
Philadelphia Eagles
Your classic, ultra-hyped team not living up to expectations at the start of a season. Michael Vick has been injured, and when he's been healthy enough to play, the "Dream Team" defense has been awful.
Really awful.
They're allowing nearly 140 yards on the ground, per game and are -6 in turnover differential.
Nnamdi Asomugha has been anything but a shut-down corner, and Trent Cole is out until the bye week.
With so much talent, what's going on here?
Pittsburgh Steelers
Are these the defending AFC champion, Super Bowl-contending Steelers?
OK, they're 2-2.
Ben Roethlisberger is still making plays, but the poor guys is seemingly running for his life on every down.
We're supposed to think the defense is top-notch, right?
They've been good, but are allowing more rushing yards than we've seen in recent years and now James Harrison's out with a orbital bone fracture.
Don't forget, their wins have come over the Seahawks and Colts.
Hmmm....
Chicago Bears
One week they look like the defending NFC North champion, the next it seems like Jay Cutler can't get off a pass and Matt Forte is running into the backs of his offensive lineman.
A true Jekyll and Hyde team.
I'm kind of baffled by the defense, too. You know, the group of veterans we've grown accustomed to being among the league's best each year?
They are allowing 301 yards through the air and 124 yards on the ground through four games.
Which Bears team are we going to see on "Monday Night Football" in Detroit against the Lions?
Beats me.
