College Football Picks Against the Spread: 3 Road Locks You Must Take in Week 6
Taking the road team is always difficult when it comes to college football. Having home field advantage can swing a college game by as many as ten points.
It's a risk to take a road team, but sometimes the lines are just too good to pass up, which happens to be the case this weekend.
Arizona Wildcats (-1)
This is more about the Wildcats' opponent than the skills of Arizona. There was a time when people actually thought Arizona would finish the year as a top 25 team with Nick Foles at QB, but things haven't exactly gone according to plan for the Wildcats.
This week, the Wildcats meet the Oregon State Beavers, who are 0-4 and have been beaten by the likes of Sacramento State.
That's enough for me, considering that three of Arizona's four loses have come against top 10 teams, with the other one coming against USC.
Auburn Tigers (+10)
The Tigers are not going to upset the Arkansas Razorbacks, but they should keep the game close, which means they will cover the spread.
Auburn is coming off a big victory over the South Carolina Gamecocks, and are a more talented team than many gave them credit for before the season began.
Barrett Trotter and Michael Dyer have this offense clicking right now, and should continue to excel against an Arkansas defense that has struggled at times. This one will be a shootout, and it should come down to the wire.
TCU (-4)
TCU is coming off a loss to SMU, and now head to San Diego State to take on the 3-1 Aztecs. It might seem surprising to see TCU on this list, but they have done well bouncing back from a loss earlier in the season, and will likely do so again this week.
Ryan Lindley has barely completed 50 percent of his passes this year for SDSU, and is going to struggle against a solid TCU defense.
The Horned Frogs do a lot of things well, including running the ball well, and throwing the ball well.
They will blow out San Diego State in this game, much like the Michigan Wolverines blew them out last week.
