Cardinals vs. Vikings: TV Schedule, Live Streaming, Radio, Game Time and More

Donald WoodOct 4, 2011

The Arizona Cardinals and Minnesota Vikings had high expectations coming into this season, but a collective 1-7 start has both teams scrambling for answers.

For Minnesota, they have looked excellent in the first half of games, but have lost all of their games this season after leading in the second half. Arizona is just trying to get their feet on the ground in a very winnable NFC West division.

What's at Stake?

Both teams are terrible, but the team with the most to prove is the Minnesota Vikings. They have one of the best running backs in the NFL with Adrian Peterson, but the lack of team success needs to stop this week or they are completely out of it already.

Fantasy: Start 'Em, Sit 'Em and Sleeper

Start 'Em: Kevin Kolb, Cardinals

While the Minnesota Vikings defense has been stout, this has only been true in the first half of games, and Larry Fitzgerald will destroy them late in the game.

Sit 'Em: Donovan McNabb, Vikings

McNabb has been absolutely horrible, and if he is anywhere near your starting lineup, you need to reconsider your reason for joining fantasy football.

Sleeper: Todd Heap, Cardinals

Kevin Kolb loves his tight ends, and the Cardinals have the advantage in this matchup, with Todd Heap taking on the slower Minnesota linebackers, and he should have a big day.

What They're Saying

"

There are a lot of games left—there's 12 games left—and our guys know and I believe this, if we correct our mistakes, we're going to win our share of games and it will turn. I know that from watching tape. I know we've lost three games (in a row) by a total of eight points. They're still losses and don't think I'm happy with that. But in looking where we are as a team, we're working, we're getting better, as tough as it is to say right now. At some point, it's going to turn.

"
"

Look, we all feel like we want to get frustrated and feel like `Man, what the heck's going on?'. But you just can't let yourself do that. It's part of being a professional. It's part of being a great player. If you look back, they've all gone through it. That's what I do. I look back at some of the older ones and some of the guys that I know and I talk to them.

"

Key Matchup: Larry Fitzgerald vs. Antoine Winfield

While the older Winfield won’t have Fitzgerald on every play, you better believe he will be on the tall receiver every time there is a big opportunity for the Cardinals. Winfield may have had his step slowed, but he can still make life tough for receivers and the Vikings don’t win if he doesn’t slow down Fitzgerald.

Prediction: Minnesota Vikings 27, Arizona Cardinals 24
