Chad Henne Injury: Should Fantasy Owners Drop Dolphins QB for Backup Matt Moore?
Miami Dolphins quarterback Chad Henne suffered a separated shoulder in the team's Week 4 loss against the San Diego Chargers.
While he initially thought he'd be able to play through the pain after Miami comes off its Week 5 bye, news has surfaced that the injury may be more severe than first thought. He is seeking a second opinion today.
According to NFL.com's Jeff Darlington, the outcome of that second opinion might determine if Henne could miss the remainder of the season. If so, it looks like backup Matt Moore would be taking over the Dolphins offense from Week 6 on.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
This is a clear wrinkle in the plans of Henne's fantasy owners. Should Henne miss significant time, Moore may not be the best option to replace him.
Though Moore went 17-of-26 for 176 yards and an interception (thrown in desperation at the end of the game, so it's not much of a concern), managing the game as best he could, he's not a stable enough option to consider him a fantasy starter.
There's also the fact that the Dolphins carried just two quarterbacks on the active roster going into the season, meaning that the team will add at least one more passer in the interim. Depending on who that is, Moore might not get the start if Henne is out.
Add Moore at your own risk; of available waiver-wire quarterback replacements this week, he's certainly not the best option. The Seahawks' Matt Hasselbeck (owned in just 41 percent of Yahoo! leagues), Oakland's Jason Campbell (21 percent owned) and Redskins quarterback Rex Grossman (28 percent owned) are all better Henne replacements than Moore.
I recommend you grab one of them, if you can. Sometimes the best replacement for an injured starter is clearly not his backup.
