NFL Picks Week 5: Philadelphia Eagles and 5 Teams Guaranteed to Cover
As we head into the second quarter of the NFL season the odds makers that come up with the gambling lines in Vegas and on gambling web sites have enough information about these teams that it makes it hard to find games that are guaranteed locks.
Yet people like you and me will go to these lines and see that the odds for a certain game are easy covers for teams that are favored. You’ll see teams that for some reason those odds makers either don’t believe in yet or have too much faith in.
Week 5 doesn’t have the full slate of games that the previous four weeks had, but, that doesn’t mean there aren’t five games on the docket that aren’t sure fire covers.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
(Note all lines are from Bodog.eu)
Philadelphia Eagles (-3) at Buffalo Bills
The Bills are everyone's hottest team in the AFC. And why not; they’re 3-1, have a win over the New England Patriots, and have a budding elite quarterback in Ryan Fitzpatrick.
Yet, the defense has yet to play as well as the offense. This is why Michael Vick will lead the Eagles to a big victory over the Bills this week.
The game will be a shootout so the over of 49.5 points looks to be a good play as well.
New Orleans Saints (-6 1/2) at Carolina Panthers
The Panthers are 1-3 but have been competitive in each of their first four games. The Saints at 3-1 are one of the best teams in the league this year. They have a winning record this year when covering and will continue to cover this week against the Panthers.
The Panthers defense will not be able to keep up with the offensive power of the Saints led by Drew Brees.
New England Patriots (-9) vs. New York Jets
Last year the Jets had the Patriots' number during the regular season and playoffs. This year the Jets are a mess on the offensive line, in the locker room, and in the media. However, the Brady-led Patriots are an offensive juggernaut this year.
Expect the Pats at home to embarrass the Jets this week as payback for last year.
San Diego Chargers (-4) at Denver Broncos
The Chargers are actually living up to their expectations this year instead of starting out slow. Where as the Broncos are living up to their expectations as one of the worst teams in the NFL.
The Chargers are 2-2 against the spread this year. But, they are playing the Broncos who were lucky to get a win in their first four games.
Green Bay Packers (-6) at Atlanta Falcons
Sunday Night Football features two of the top quarterbacks in the league. However, these Packers are the better team this year. Expect Aaron Rodgers to continue to have a great year this year as he tears through the Falcons defense.
Packers will win this game by two touchdowns.
