Going into Their NFL Bye Week, Detroit Lions Will Be 8-0
A few months ago, Ndamukong Suh said he didn't see a reason why the Lions couldn't go 16-0. It is not to say that it is entirely impossible—after all they are a quarter way through to becoming that team—but for now, let’s just see if the Lions can go 8-0 going into the bye week. Will they be able to pull it off?
Let’s analyze their upcoming match-ups.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
This is the Lions first Monday Night Football game in a decade. After three games on the road, the Lions will be fired up in Ford Field.
The Chicago Bears’ special teams seem to be doing well this year, so if Detroit can stop Devin Hester from scoring, it would cut down on their points. Also, while Jay Cutler has a strong-armed talent, he also has a tendency to throw interceptions (heightened behind that shaky Bears offensive line).
The reinvigorated Lions faithful hopes Bobby Carpenter can repeat what he did against the Cowboys.
If Matthew Stafford and the offensive line can get fired up early in the game, they should be able to complete it with a win. If they fall behind at halftime again, however, it will be harder to come back (for a third straight week) against the Bears. Foresight projects a 27-17 Lions victory; going 5-0 for the first time since 1956.
San Francisco 49ers vs. Detroit Lions
Like the Lions, the 49ers are nothing like last year. They rallied against the Eagles after trailing at halftime by 20 points and won. The Lions may, by then, start off strong because if they keep starting off slow it may end up as their downfall.
Both teams have a new attitude and team atmosphere, so there is no doubt that this will be a close matchup. The Lions win by a close margin, 23-20.
Atlanta Falcons vs. Detroit Lions
Quarterback Matt Ryan will be giving the Detroit’s defense a workout with his weapons. Though, with this being a home game for the Lions, it will give them motivation to perform their best.
If Matthew Stafford gets on a roll, the Falcons’ defense may struggle trying to contain their passing yards. Enter Megatron. Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson, who will be snagging TDs for sure in this game on the way to a Lions victory.
Detroit Lions @ Denver Broncos
With the 1-3 Broncos struggling to find a way to click within the offense and defense, I don’t think anything will spark when they play the undefeated Lions. This may be a Lions win of the blowout variety.
Detroit Lions have many odds to overcome in order to be 8-0. However, the past two games show that the Detroit Lions can overcome those rare odds.
Who knows? Maybe they may finish 16-0.
But that’s just pushing it.
