NFL Power Rankings: New England Patriots and the 3 Teams We Don't Doubt

Chris TrapassoOct 4, 2011

Even after their stunning loss to the Buffalo Bills in Week 3, can you really doubt Tom Brady and the New England Patriots?

I can't.

Not yet.

You can count on a few other teams right now—let's take a look...

New England Patriots

Maybe the Patriots aren't as dominating as we thought they'd be after their record-setting performances in Weeks 1 and 2.

So what?

With Brady behind center you can never count out New England even if their defense has many holes.

He is the wild card that can elevate the Patriots to any victory in any game, in any location, against any odds.

Until we see another collapse, don't doubt New England.

Green Bay Packers

One thing you can count on each week is Aaron Rodgers carving up the opposing defense, distributing the ball to all of his offensive weapons and throwing for a ridiculous amount of yards.

He has emerged as the best quarterback in the game today and his quick release is arguably the toughest to defend against.

The Packers have done enough on defense to start 4-0, but they aren't playing at a Super Bowl caliber right now.

However, with Rodgers, you know what you're going to get with the Pack.

New Orleans Saints

Eerily similar to the Packers.

They have a poised signal caller with a quick release in Drew Brees, a loaded receiving corps (and elite pass-catching tight end) and a change-of-pace running attack.

Like Green Bay, the defense isn't dominating, but it doesn't need to be.

You know what you'll get when playing the Saints—lots of quick passes, a few shots downfield and a variety of blitz packages sent your way.
