NFL Picks Week 5: Cam Newton Dominating and 5 Things That Will Happen in Week 5
Cam Newton is not a man, he is the man. That sentiment will be proven in Week 5, along with a myriad of other delights.
The 2011 NFL season had so much hype attributed to it before the opening kickoff. We have football fever and needed weekly doses stat.
The amazing thing is that the first few weeks have far exceeded the expectations I had, and the season is only just reaching the first bye week.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
We have seen the Patriots reach the loftiest of heights only to get tripped up in an emotional game. The Lions are proving that you can't be a horrible team for too long. Here are five things that will happen in Week 5 that will make you stand up and shout with glee, hopefully with a beer in hand.
1. Cam Newton Goes Off, Again
I was one of many that felt Cam Newton would one day be a competent quarterback. I just figured it would be in a year or two.
The young star is treating defenses like they were video game avatars. It is just sick what he has done with a strong arm and loads of poise. This will help him gain some more gaudy numbers against a soft Saints secondary.
2. The Steelers Slip to New Lows
It may be time to avert your eyes, Steelers fans. The Titans are surging and the Steelers are folding. The Steelers have showed no signs of fixing their offensive line, and it will lead them to an unacceptable 2-3 record.
3. The Eagles Will Continue Season Nightmare
The defense that includes three star cornerbacks has been atrocious as of late.
The Bills have a versatile offense that will pick the Eagles to pieces on Sunday. The season will go from bad to worse as they travel to Buffalo for a guaranteed loss.
4. New York Jets Will be Served New England Blowout
The New York Jets looked awful on Sunday night. The loss of Nick Mangold has been huge. But I fear his return, if it happens this week, will hardly shore up every detail of a shaky line.
The Patriots have been a consistent machine with the ball and will put up a score the Jets just don't have the mettle to match.
5. The Lions Will Prove they Are for Real
For weeks we have been rubbing our eyes, wondering if the Detroit Lions are for real.
On Monday night, they will prove they are contenders after all. The Bears will not be able to hold out the Lions pass rush, and Jay Cutler will once again have issues with staying up right. The Bears do well on the pass, but Matthew Stafford has proved he is up to any task when healthy.
