Fantasy Football Week 5 Waiver Wire: Reggie Wayne and 3 Stars To Drop
Just because a player like Reggie Wayne is a household name doesn't mean you should have him on your fantasy team.
Often times, players with big names are held onto far past their expiration dates.
Knowing when to cut a star or a high-potential bust like Shonn Greene is only going to help your team in the long run.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
You shouldn't have to hold onto your players until they turn things around. Let them struggle while on someone else's team.
Here are three star players who don't deserve a spot on your roster.
Reggie Wayne, WR, Indianapolis Colts (99 Percent Owned)
It amazes me that Wayne is still owned in 99 percent of leagues when it doesn't look like Peyton Manning will play in 2011.
Wayne isn't going to have any fantasy value as long as Kerry Collins or Curtis Painter is under center for the Colts.
Unless someone says next week that Manning will be back, get rid of Wayne.
He's in a worse situation than Larry Fitzgerald was in on the Cardinals last season. And, at this point of Wayne's career, he's not nearly as good of a receiver as Fitz.
Shonn Greene, RB, New York Jets (96 Percent Owned)
Greene's best rushing effort this year was 59 yards. Twice, he has been held under 30 yards rushing.
He's been a major bust this year and has been disappointing ever since entering the NFL.
The Jets running game has been abysmal with Greene and LaDainian Tomlinson this season, though LT at least is a threat in the passing game.
Greene has been bad in all areas and the longer you hold onto him, the more he's going to hurt your team.
DeAngelo Williams, RB, Carolina Panthers (81 Percent Owned)
Williams has done absolutely nothing this season.
In four games, he's only rushed for 143 yards and has yet to find the end zone.
Quarterback Cam Newton has been the best running back for the Panthers to this point and has been taking most of the goal line carries.
It looks like Williams days as a serviceable fantasy back are over, and the sooner you cut him, the better off your team will be.
