Stephen Jackson pleased all of his fantasy owners earlier today by announcing that he will be playing this week. How did he do it? Why, he tweeted of course.
This is great news for Jackson's owners who have been stuck hitting the waiver wires looking for answers. It looked like a promising year for Jackson when he busted a long touchdown run on his first carry of the regular season.
As a owner of Jackson in multiple leagues, this news couldn't come at a better time. Jackson is needed this week as other running backs are on byes or also injured, but more importantly the 0-4 St. Louis Rams need Jackson back and ready to go.
The bye week has definitely helped him heal, and fans and fantasy owners are glad to have him back.

The St. Louis Rams have been terrible this season, though Steven Jackson has been solid when healthy, which seemed to be for all of 70 game-time minutes. S-Jax is a phenomenal buy-low candidate, especially in point-per-reception leagues as he will be Sam Bradford's primary target with Danny Amendola out for the season.

Fantasy owners and Rams fans will finally get to see their workhorse veteran RB Steven Jackson healthy when the Rams take the field in Week 6. Jackson will be a full-go in Week 6 following a much-needed bye week.

The St. Louis offense has been terrible so having a veteran leader like Jackson get very hands on will certainly help to get them jumpstarted.

Great news for Rams' fans and Steven Jackson fantasy owners, he is reportedly going to be at full strength after the bye week.

Update: Monday, Oct. 3rd at 7:40 p.m. ET
On Sunday, Steven Jackson was back to action against the Washington Redskins. He had 17 carries for a total of 45 yards. He did receive a 15-yard pass from Sam Bradford for his second score of the season.
Jackson was limited to just three second-half carries as the Rams played from behind. The extra week will allow a battered offensive line to regroup, and for Jackson to continue to heal.
The biggest note on the day is that Jackson gave it his all and didn't re-injure his quadriceps. Rotoworld reports that all was fine with the lingering issue that has kept Jackson out of most of the early season.
They write, "S-Jax appeared to be running with his typical burst and power, and should be at or near 100 percent health when the Rams return from their Week 5 bye."
The Rams official Twitter post last week along with Jackson's play on Sunday has me confident that we are two weeks away from finally seeing the real Steven Jackson show up.
Things will not get any easier for the Rams who get to see the Green Bay Packers when they return in Week 6.
At that point, we should have a 100 percent Jackson on the field. Fantasy owners should wait and see how his leg feels during the next couple weeks of practice. The Rams will no doubt continue to give him more of a load to carry.
