David Beckham Video: Watch Galaxy's Beckham Clash with RSL Coach Jason Kreis

A sloppy match ended with tempers flaring. 

David Beckham had some words for Real Salt Lake coach Jason Kreis after a game that saw the Galaxy win a yellow-card crazy match, 2-1. 

As players and coaches met on the pitch to shake hands in a show of goodwill, some bad blood boiled over when Beckham and Kreis passed one another. 

It is clear that Beckham says something to Kreis as the coach walks away from the star midfielder. Kreis volleys back with a stirring comment that caught the ire of Becks. 

It was so jarring that the $250 million man saw fit to jog over and stick his finger in the face of Kreis. Cooler heads prevail when players come to separate the two before something drastic like a fist being presented where a finger was just placed. 

After the match, Kreis gave some insight into what may have been bandied between the two passionate men. 

Martin Renzhofer of The Salt Lake Tribune cites Kreis as saying, "Apparently [Beckham] thinks he's the only one who can yell at referees. He wanted to continue [the discussion] after the game.”

Renzhofer then writes, "Kreis would have none of it, calling Beckham disrespectful. Kreis said he never talks to players and, as a player, never talked to coaches."

The match included six yellow cards, sloppy play and an own goal by RSL's Nat Borchers. It was a battle between two clubs jockeying for pride ahead of the MLS postseason. 

The Galaxy sits in first with a comfortable 64 points on the season. It is clear that both men have differing opinions on what is respectful antics on the pitch. 

If the argument was about who gets to yell at the referees, the answer would be everybody. This is one sport where players and coaches alike get to make their opinions known to officials. 

This is the first time that controversial calls drew the ire of player and coach, leaving the officials to rest comfortably in the locker room.
