NFL Power Rankings Week 5: 3 Winning Teams That Won't Make Playoffs
After Week 4 of the 2011 NFL season, 13 teams have winning records.
Of course, there are only 12 playoff spots in the NFL playoffs, so at least one team off to a hot start won't make it to the postseason.
That number will probably be more around three, since teams like the Pittsburgh Steelers, New York Jets and Philadelphia Eagles are either at or below the .500 mark.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
So, with that being said, here are three teams with winning records that won't make the playoffs at the end of the 2011 NFL season.
Washington Redskins (3-1)
I'm still not buying the Redskins. Even if they are in playoff contention by December, they have a brutal last five games.
They play the Jets and Patriots at home, followed by a road game against the Giants, the Vikings at home and then end the year in Philly against the Eagles.
They need to be at least 8-3 heading into that stretch if they want to reach the postseason.
With Rex Grossman at quarterback, I don't think they'll be able to do it.
San Francisco 49ers (3-1)
The 49ers already have a two-game lead in the NFC West.
Despite their hot start, I don't see them performing at this level all year long.
Their only impressive win was a come-from-behind effort last week against the struggling Philadelphia Eagles.
They have yet to play a winning team and might not do so until Week 6 against Detroit.
We'll see what they're made of then. I still think either the Arizona Cardinals or St. Louis Rams will win the NFC West, despite being a combined 1-7 at the moment.
Houston Texans (3-1)
Look, this is the Houston Texans we are talking about. We all know they are going to blow their hot start and finish the year at either 8-8 or 7-9.
They have to play Oakland, Baltimore and Tennessee these next three weeks. I could see them going 0-3 in those games.
My money is on the Tennessee Titans to win the AFC South right now. If Andre Johnson misses a significant period of time for the Texans, I'll feel even more confident about the Titans.
Texans fans are in for another year of heartbreak and disappointment.
