Fantasy Injury Updates Week Six
The "Fantasy Injury Updates" article is a list of top 50 ranked players that are either injured, a risky start, or have a few games during the entire week. Bench these players for Week Six if you have them on your fantasy team.
John Salmons (SG, SAC)—Injured/Risky Start
Suggestion: Salmons injured his thigh during Saturday night's game. He is slated for only two games this week and could possibly miss both games. If you have healthy alternatives, definitely start them ahead of John for this week. He should be up and running by Week Seven. He is having a career season this year, so hopefully he returns on the court quickly!
Stephen Jackson (SF, GS)—Injured/Risky Start
Suggestion: Stephen is dealing with a swollen wrist that benched him Saturday night. He plays Miami on Monday and will probably sit out until the swelling goes away. The Warriors have two other games this week both at San Antonio and Houston. If you have someone else to start in front of Jackson, do so!
Chris Kaman (C, LAC)—Injured
Suggestion: Kaman's sore left foot will keep him out of the lineup for one to two weeks. He should be benched in every league for the upcoming period.
Jermaine O'Neal (PF/C, TOR)—Injured/Risky Start
Suggestion: Jermaine injured his ankle last week and did not play the entire week. He expected to play Sunday but never returned to the court. Jermaine is a risky start with three games this week and should be started at your own risk.
Andrea Bargnani is a great pick-up to start as your center if he is still available in your league.
Carlos Boozer (PF/C, UTA)—Injured/Risky Start
Suggestion: Boozer has now missed six straight games with a sprained left quadricep tendon. It looks as if he will not be playing this week and should be benched in all leagues. Power forward Paul Millsap has been playing stellar as of late and is a great alternative until Boozer returns.
Andrei Kirilenko (SF/PF, UTH)—Injured/Risky Start
Suggestion: AK47 injured his ankle Saturday night and is listed day-to-day. With four upcoming games this week, Kirilenko could be back in time to produce for your fantasy team. Start him at your own risk.
