WWE Hell in a Cell Results: The Miz & R-Truth Return Saves Weak Conspiracy Angle

Adam WellsOct 3, 2011

It is not often that WWE gets things right, so when it does, it is worth pointing out and offering praise. At Hell in a Cell, The Miz and R-Truth were able to save their lame conspiracy angle by turning WWE on its heels.

Following a good triple threat Hell in a Cell match between Alberto Del Rio, John Cena and CM Punk, The Miz and R-Truth, who were sitting at ringside to start the show but got kicked out by John Laurinaitis, locked themselves in the cage with the three wrestlers in the main event and beat up anything that was moving.

This was the best possible thing that WWE could have done to save an angle that has been full of holes and devoid of logic up to the point that they were fired by Triple H two weeks ago on Raw.

It became apparent that CM Punk, who has been an advocate for change in WWE all summer long, was not going to be the one to bring change to the company when he was pinned by Triple H at Night of Champions.

And we know that Triple H is not long for the position of Chief Operating Officer, which means that someone, somewhere had to step up and create enough chaos to get the Board of Directors to vote Triple H out of his current position and bring back Vince McMahon.

It turns out that the certain "someone" turned out to be "someones," as Miz and Truth are being used to create anarchy in WWE.

While it is hard to completely envision them as WWE anarchists because they have worked for the company for so long, at least there is a logical story to support their actions.

Miz feels that he has been passed over in favor of other wrestlers, even though he worked in the main event at WrestleMania. R-Truth believes that someone is out to get him, even though he wrestled Cena for the WWE championship at Capitol Punishment.

Since it is virtually impossible to predict what WWE is going to do next because of the fluid nature of the way the company books things, I am not even going to pretend to know what is going to happen. But I will say that I am looking forward to the possibilities of where this angle can go
