Ryan Grant Injury: Why Packers RB James Starks Is a Must-Start in Week 4
The Green Bay Packers will be without Ryan Grant against the Denver Broncos.
However, Grant's absence isn't a major loss. Grant was returning this season after missing the majority of the Packers' Super Bowl season. In his absence, James Starks emerged as the Packers' top rushing option.
Starks was a key to the Packers' Super Bowl run, providing balance to the offense. He is a tough running back who does a good job moving he pile, and his tough running style complements the Green Bay passing attack.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Green Bay running game is effective due to the presence of Aaron Rodgers. His ability to threaten a defense takes defenders away from the line of scrimmage; less defenders in the box provides more running room.
Starks is a must-start Week 4 fantasy option. Prior to Grant's injury, Starks was receiving the majority of carries, which now only figures to increase.
Green Bay is facing a Broncos team that hasn't been playing very good football. The defense is missing a few key players, including Champ Bailey and Elvis Dumervil. Even at full strength, the Broncos' defense is a below-average unit.
Rodgers and the offense will likely get the Packers out to an early lead. After gaining the lead, I expect to see a heavy dose of Starks.
Denver features a decent pass-rush, and after obtaining the lead, the Packers would be wise to protect Rodgers—and the best way to protect your quarterback is by running the football.
Another factor to consider is how well the Packers move the football. Their ability to gain yardage often puts the offense in red-zone and goal-line situations. The more time spent in the red zone means more touchdown opportunities.
