Andre Johnson Injury: 5 Fantasy Replacements for Injured Texans WR
Uh oh, Andre "The Giant" Johnson pulled up lame in the first half against the Pittsburgh Steelers. AJ is one of the top fantasy wide receivers in the NFL. If he misses major time, it'll be a huge blow to every fantasy owner that has him on his or her team.
Here are five possible replacements for Johnson.
Dane Sanzenbacher
1 of 5The rookie Bears WR has good hands and a knack for finding open areas in zone coverage. He is becoming Jay Cutler's favorite intermediate and short target.
Sanzenbacher can't match Johnson's production, but he would be a good receiver to add if Johnson is out for extended time.
Kevin Walter
2 of 5On the Houston Texans roster there is a viable option for a Johnson replacement. Kevin Walter is a big, strong receiver. He doesn't have the big play ability but he is sure-handed and on the same team.
Walter may directly receive many of the targets Johnson was getting.
Jared Cook
3 of 5This one may cause for you to do some flip-flopping of your flex position with your receivers. Cook has become a fantasy option primarily because of the absence of Kenny Britt in the Titans offense.
Cook could be one of the top five fantasy tight ends for the rest of this year.
Torrey Smith
5 of 5If you can get him, Smith is probably the best WR that could be available for you. He got a bit nicked last week against the Rams, but before he went out he had five receptions and 162 yards receiving with three touchdowns.
He will play today and would be a great add.
