Roddy White Injury: Atlanta Falcons WR Will Have Big Game in Week 4

Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White is expected to play against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 4 despite being listed as questionable. White has been dealing with a thigh ailment that has caused him to be limited in practice, but that won't stop him from putting him big numbers on Sunday.

After a slow start to the season, White caught nine passes for 140 yards against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week. While it's been a slow start for the entire Atlanta offense, they appear to be finally finding a groove, which bodes well for White.

The Seahawks rank 19th against opposing fantasy wideouts and have been torched by the Pittsburgh Steelers and Arizona Cardinals in consecutive weeks. When the Atlanta passing game is clicking on all cylinders it is better than both of those aerial attacks.

White caught seven balls for 65 yards and a touchdown against Marcus Trufant and the rest of the Seattle secondary last season. He should be able to better those numbers on Sunday with Julio Jones slowly emerging as a legitimate No. 2 threat in the passing game.

The most important thing for White will be getting off to a quick start. Thigh injuries have the tendency to tighten up and then fantasy owners have to spend the rest of the afternoon watching their star player ride the stationary bike.

That said, if you own White, you have no choice but to play him this week. He's one of the elite wide receivers that fall into the must-start category as long as they're going to play. Nearly five percent of ESPN fantasy owners currently have him on the bench, which could come back to bite them big time.

Matt Ryan will be throwing the ball early and often since the Falcons have struggled mightily to get the running game open, so even at 75 percent White would see a bunch of targets. There's too much upside involved in that scenario for fantasy owners.
