NFL Predictions Week 4: Tarvaris Jackson and 3 QBs Who Will Struggle
Tavaris Jackson, Alex Smith and Blaine Gabbert will struggle to move the football. These quarterbacks have not shown a great deal of promise. Today they each face tough competition and pressure oriented defenses.
Jackson, Smith and Gabbert will not lead their teams to victory.
The Seattle Seahawks are hosting the Atlanta Falcons, in an early season must win situation. Atlanta has had a disappointing start, but hope to right the ship against Seattle. The Atlanta defense will not be threatened by the Seattle offense.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
I expect the Falcons to focus on shutting down the running game, while forcing Tavaris Jackson to make plays. Jackson has done little to show he is capable of being a top level quarterback. He hasn't been able to utilize his offensive weapons.
Jackson has several capable targets including Sidney Rice, Mike Williams and Zach Miller.
Alex Smith has not been given the opportunity to make a ton of plays. Jim Harbaugh has featured a very conservative offense, heavily relying on the running attack. Today, I expect Harbaugh to continue to feature the running attack against a suspect Philadelphia Eagles defense.
Smith will not put up good numbers because he will be given little opportunities. However, Smith has done little to inspire confidence from his coaches.
Starting in the NFL as a rookie is a difficult task, especially for quarterbacks. Gabbert has been tossed into the ring with limited offensive weapons. Outside of Maurice Jones-Drew, Gabbert is forced to spread the ball to uninspiring players.
Gabbert is facing the New Orleans Saints and defensive coordinator Greg Williams. Williams loves to bring pressure and mix in exotic blitz packages. You can expect to see increased pressure with a rookie quarterback under center.
