Danny Amendola Injury: What Should Fantasy Owners Do with Rams WR?
There’s no doubt that the favorite target of St. Louis quarterback Sam Bradford is wide receiver Danny Amendola, one reason Amendola is also a fantasy favorite.
There is plenty of doubt about when Bradford will see Amendola next catch one of his passes.
For fantasy owners of the Rams’ star, it might be time to move him off the roster, because the near-term medical outlook isn’t good.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
ESPN.com NFL-insider Adam Schefter tweeted that not only is Amendola, who missed playing in Weeks 2 and 3, out for today’s game at home against the Redskins, but he’s going to meet with doctors Monday to have his ongoing elbow problems reinterpreted.
There was some hope in the Rams’ camp that Amendola would be able to see some time this week because he was able to take part on 11-on-11 drills in the St. Louis camp Thursday. That was his first work since suffering a dislocated left elbow in the Rams’ Game 1 matchup against the Eagles.
But the idea that Amendola’s triceps continues to be a problem is reflected in the fact that his arm strength isn’t back and he needs to see the medics again.
With the Rams scheduled for a Week 5 bye, it’s possible that two more weeks would get Amendola in position to play. But fantasy owners would be smart to see what the medical report coming out of Monday’s checkup has to say.
Expected to play in Amendola’s stead is Austin Pettis, not only as a receiver but as a punt returner. Pettis got his first NFL playing time in Week 3.
