NFL Picks Week 4: Score Predictions for Every Primetime Game
Week 4's Sunday night matchup will feature a showdown between the Jets and Ravens, two teams that are mirror images of each other. Both teams feature strong defenses, offenses led by young quarterbacks and a desire to put their teams atop their division.
The Jets come into this game recovering from the effects of Darren McFadden, who ran for over 170 yards on Rex Ryan's defense that is usually very stout against the run. This week, they will get a healthy dose of Ray Rice, who is the centerpiece of the Ravens offense. Revis and Cromartie should be able to hold up against the Ravens wide outs, but the Jets have struggled with tight ends and inside receivers. Ed Dickson will have to have a big game for the Ravens to be able to move the ball effectively.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
On the other side of the ball, the Jets need to be concerned about how to block Ngata and Suggs. Nick Mangold may be the only man on earth who can block Ngata, but even if he does play, he will not be 100% healthy. The Ravens will probably match up Suggs against Wayne Hunter, who has struggled at right tackle for the Jets. The Jets will probably need to throw it more than they would like to take advantage of the mismatches Holmes and Burress provide on the outside, but they will struggle to run on the Ravens.
I expect a close, physical game, but I like the Jets to rebound with a win, 16-10.
ESPN was probably more excited about this match up two months ago, when the Colts were supposed to have Peyton Manning and the Buccaneers were supposed to be playoff contenders.
I think this going is going to go a lot like the Steelers-Colts game last Sunday night; Freeney and Mathis are going to make life miserable for young Josh Freeman, but Curtis Painter is not going to be able to take advantage of an inspired defensive performance. The Buccaneers are not going to be able to run the ball as well as many might think, as the Colts have really improved on the defensive line with guys like Drake Nevis.
Still, I just don't believe in Curtis Painter to go into Tampa Bay and win this game in prime time. I like the Buccaneers, 20-10.
