NFL Picks Week 4: 3 Teams That Will Get Blown Out by Halftime

It’s Week 4 of the 2011 NFL Season and we have seen plenty of blowouts already. Here are three teams that will get blown out by halftime.

Jacksonville Jaguars

Blaine Gabbert will be starting the second game of his career against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday. He went 12-21 for 139 yards, one touchdown and one interception in a swamp at Carolina in Week 3.

Gabbert wants to put on a good show for the home fans, but New Orleans will be a tough test. Gabbert should have a decent day against the defense, but the offense of the Saints will put the Jaguars in a hole early. This will make Gabbert feel pressured to perform at a high level, causing several mistakes from the rookie.

Brees will throw for 250 yards and three touchdowns in a route.

Indianapolis Colts

Curtis Painter will be getting the start for the depleted Colts team. They have yet to win a game in 2011, but looked better against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 3.

Tampa Bay has proven that they will be a tough team to defeat this season. They have played three close games winning two-of-three by seven combined points.

Josh Freeman finally gets a chance to showcase his talents on Monday Night Football. Freeman has thrown for 682 yards and two touchdowns in three games.

This game will be over at halftime because the defense of the Buccaneers will have their way at the line of scrimmage against the poor offensive line of the Colts.

San Francisco 49ers

San Francisco getting blown out at halftime has less to do with themselves but more to do with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Philadelphia got beat up against the New York Giants in Week 3. They can’t afford to move to 1-3 in the NFC East. The Eagles will come out strong against the 49ers.

The 49ers don’t have the offense, especially with a battered Frank Gore, to stay close with the Eagles early.

Philadelphia’s speed will be crucial in the blowout.
