NFL Picks Week 4: Eagles and Cowboys Headline Riskiest Favorites Against Spread
The Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys have remarkably similar—yet opposite—situations.
Both their franchise quarterbacks are dinged up. They've both seen their star receivers battle injuries.
But while the Eagles won their opening game in St. Louis, they lost their last two games in brutal fashion.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Cowboys, on the other hand, lost their opening game but have found a way to win the last two.
It hasn't been pretty, and they've had their fair share of luck in those games, but they are 2-1 while the Eagles are 1-2.
This week the Cowboys host the 3-0 Lions while the Eagles host the 2-1 49ers.
Cowboys -2.5 vs. Lions
Dallas' two wins have come by a combined five points.
They haven't looked good winning and they haven't done much to get better either.
Injuries to Tony Romo, Dez Bryant, Miles Austin, Felix Jones, Terrence Newman and Orlando Scandrick certainly don't help matters any either.
The Lions have won in close fashion as well, but they've actually looked doing it.
The Lions certainly aren't the play at +2.5 though either.
These two teams have shown that a three-point difference is too close to call.
Either way you look at it, this game is worth avoiding.
Eagles -10 vs. 49ers
The Eagles are 1-2 against the spread and hosting a 49ers team that has yet to lose against the spread.
San Francisco's offense is awful, but they find a way to stay in games, win and cover.
Philadelphia is riding a two-game losing streak and cannot afford another in-conference loss.
That said, 10 points is a lot to lay, even in a a home game against a team struggling to score points.
There is as a good a chance of Michael Vick finishing out today's game as there is of him leaving early.
Can Mike Kafka or Vince Young cover a 10-point spread instead? No.
