Tottenham vs. Arsenal: Emmanuel Adebayor Will Be Difference Maker in Derby

Emmanuel Adebayor has scored eight goals in nine North London derbies for Arsenal against Tottenham. Now the tables are turned and Adebayor is with Spurs, but we should expect the same result.

Adebayor has scored three goals so far in the premier league and he will benefit from the team around him. He is in a good position this season with Gareth Bale on the wing. Bale will provide him with the necessary crosses to finish for easy goals.

One area that has concerned Adebayor fans is his lack of concentration. At times, he seems to be almost non-existent on the pitch. This is an important game in the table as the No. 4 spot is up for grabs this season with the demise of Arsenal. His concentration will be there on Sunday.

There is no question that Adebayor will be fired up to play his former club in a derby he has had so much success in. He will come out ready to put the ball in the back of the net more than once.

Arsenal has struggled in their first six games posting two wins, one draw and three losses for seven points. They haven’t found success away from home this season, as they are winless on the road.

They have struggled defensively and offensively in 2011. If it wasn’t for Robin Van Persie, nobody on the club would have more than one goal. He has struggled with injuries in the past and if he goes down this season, Arsenal will be in a world of hurt.

If Tottenham wants to get back to the Top 4 in the EPL standings, they need to take care of White Hart Lane—especially against a struggling team. They will capitalize and feast off of Arsenal’s lack of defense.

White Hart Lane should provide an incredible atmosphere for the North London derby. I predict that Adebayor steals the show and Tottenham takes the home victory 2-1.
