College Football Rankings 2011 Week 6: 3 Teams That Deserve Some More Love
Certain teams always seem to get all the hype in college football, even when they don't deserve it.
If you don't know what I'm talking about, this year has been a perfect example.
Oklahoma was ranked No.1 coming into the season, while the defending national champion wasn't even in the top 5.
A team like Michigan, who has played nobody, is in the top 20, yet we all know when they start playing real opponents they are going to fall apart.
College football is a bunch of hype at times, so that's why it is always good to remember and pay a quick homage to the teams that are actually doing something and playing meaningful games.
Here are three teams that need a little bit more love:
Arkansas:
The Razorbacks made possibly one of the biggest comebacks of the year against the No. 14 team in the land. At halftime they were down 31-17, yet came back in the second half and held the Texas A&M Aggies to only three points and won the game 42-38. Unfortunately, that is not going to be one of the bigger stories of the weekend.
West Virginia:
The Mountaineers got beat up by LSU, and now everybody is down on them, but the truth of the matter is that West Virginia is still a great team. They beat up on Bowling Green 55-10, and still look to be in a pretty good position to win the Big East. The problem is, not many people care about Big East football.
Michigan State:
One loss to a bad Notre Dame team, and Michigan State seemingly fell off the college football map. The truth of the matter is that they are 4-1 and 1-0 in the Big Ten. They still have a great chance to win the Big Ten and make something of their season.
