NFL Picks Week 4: 3 Defensive Struggles That Are Bound to Hit the Under

Kyle VassaloOct 1, 2011

Be it elite defenses squaring off or lackluster offenses clashing, this week's NFL schedule poses several defensive struggles that Vegas has given way too high of an Over/Under to.

Here are three defensive struggles that are bound to hit the under this weekend.

Tennessee Titans vs. Cleveland Browns

Over/Under: 39

Kenny Britt is out, Chris Johnson has been worthless this season and Peyton Hillis lost 10-12 pounds during an illness last week. It's not looking pretty for either offense. To make matters more difficult, the Titans have the No. 1 defense in the league and the Browns rank 10th.

Neither of these offenses will be able to move the ball, and suggesting both will be able to score 20 points is a bit ambitious.

Over/Under: 39.5

The Vikings and Chiefs have failed to win a single game this season. Both have unfavorable quarterback situations that will rear their heads in this matchup. While Adrian Peterson should be able to get it going, neither team is going to be able to get it going offensively.

Both teams have a much better run game than passing attack, and we should see a ton of carries that eat up the clock. This will be a battle of field position, and you might need to place a wager on it just to make it worth your while to watch.

Over/Under: 40.5

The Colts aren't lifeless defensively. Though they aren't an elite defense by any means, they proved last week that they still have some fight in them. This is going to be a lopsided victory, but the lack of points from the Colts and a Colts defense that might not be as useless as we thought will keep the overall score low.

The Bucs are going to pound the rock and should move the ball effectively, but it's hard to see them scoring more than 30. With Curtis Painter on the field, it's debatable whether or not the Colts will score at all.
