9) Texas Tech: Lost on the road to a top 10 team is their one loss.

10) Florida: The only one-loss team to lose at home, as a 25-point favorite no less.

Top 10 Games This Week

1) Pittsburgh 19, West Virginia 15: I think WVU was caught counting their chickens

2) Arkansas 31, LSU 30: What was that field goal try all about?

3) Kansas 40, Missouri 37: Maybe there was a reason Mizzou was under the radar?

4) Florida Atlantic 57, Florida International 50 (OT): The tie beaker in this week's free picking contest, no one was near 107 points.

5) Georgia Tech 45, Georgia 42: The Yellow Jackets looked done at the half, they weren't.

6) Nevada 35, Louisiana Tech 31: A nice comeback that landed right on the number.

7) Texas Tech 35, Baylor 28: Robert Griffin sure makes things exciting.

8) Tulsa 38, Marshall 35: Things weren't decided until the final gun sounded.

9) Virginia Tech 17, Virgina 14: Another in state battle decided by 3 points.

10) Nebraska 40, Colorado 31: This could have gone either way.

Ten That Are In or Out

1) Lane Kiffin: In at Tennessee

2) Sylvester Croom: Out at Mississippi State.

3) Greg Robinson: Out at Syracuse.

4) USC: In the Rose Bowl.

5) Phil Fulmer: Out at Tennessee.

6) Turner Gil: In somewhere.

7) Tom Amstutz: Out at Toledo

8) Pacman Jones: In until he's out again.

9) Charlie Weis: If he isn't out of a job, he's certainly out of favor.

10) Brian Kelly: Could he be next in line in South Bend?

A Review of My Preseason Top 10 Teams Who Don't Stink Anymore

1) Stanford: They don't stink but not real good either.

2) Temple: Weren't a doormat by any means this season.

3) Buffalo: Playing in the MAC title game this week.

4) Duke: Not good, but at least they showed up this year.

5) Vandy: I don't think people even acknowledged this one.

6) East Carolina: Finished with a real nice record, 8-4.

7) Miami: Not back, but doesn't stink, either.

8) Rice: At 9-3 going to their second bowl ever, I should have had them No. 1.

9) Tulsa: A lot of offense and a soft schedule, 10-2.

10) Northwestern: I said every 10th year they were good and this was the 10th year. I can count!

Top 10 Things I Get Criticized for

1) Mitch hates the SEC: No I don't, I just don't think, top to bottom, they beat other conferences like they say they do.

2) Mitch has Utah ranked too high: They beat everyone they played, including Big Ten and Pac-10 teams.

3) Mitch picked _______ game wrong: I picked over 400 games this year against the spread; chances are I'm not going to be right all of the time.

4) Put something up behind you during the video: I promise the video quality will be better next season.

5) Mitch Loves Northern Illinois, Boise, etc.: I love any team that covers a lot for me.

6) I can't get into the forum: You need to register separately for the forum; I'm not a tech person, so don't ask me.

7) Mitch has Ball State ranked too high: The same people you call "experts" now gave the national title to BYU when they beat a 6-6 Michigan team in the Holiday Bowl; go bother them.

8) Mitch hates the Gators: Maybe (I'm from Miami, it's supposed to be that way), but it's more that I think their one loss is the worst of any of the losses the one-loss teams took this year.

9) You never answered my email: I'm getting over 400 emails a week just from people who come to the site and I answer every one; sometimes they take me longer to get to than they used to. If it's a generic question, try the forums, a lot of those guys know the site better than I do.

10) You didn't pick____ game: If I didn't pick it I didn't like it that much or no one asked; a lot of my picks these days come from requests.

Top 10 Coaches of the Year

1) Joe Paterno: I dare anyone to give me one reason why he isn't.

2) Turner Gil: Buffalo is a respectable team, and he's a respectable guy.

3) David Bailiff: What can you say?, outstanding job this year.

4) Kyle Whittingham: A BCS bowl berth and an undefeated season, this guy is legit.

5) Mike Riley: May have lost the award yesterday.

6) Paul Johnson: Is there anything he can't do?

7) Pat Fitzgerald: Just a nice job on and off the field.

8) Tim Brewster: Late season collapse cost him.

9) Mike Leach: Lost this award and more on the field in Norman.

10) Nick Saban: If they win this week he deserves a lot of consideration.

Top 10 Who Got It Done This Week

1) Sam Bradford: 370 yards, 4 TDs and a Heisman?

2) The Florida Gators: No choke at the Doak this time around.

3) Todd Reesing: 375 yards, 4 TDs and a big win.

4) LeSean McCoy: 183 yards and 2 TDs in the Backyard Brawl.

5) Jeremiah Johnson: 219 yards rushing and a TD in the Civil War.

6) Nate Davis: Nothing fancy, just an undefeated season.

7) Colin Kaepernick: 397 yards passing and they're a running team.

8) Glen Coffee: 144 yards and a TD on the ground in the Iron Bowl.

9) The ACC: 3-1 against the SEC straight up.

10) Ian Johnson: 128 yards, 2 TDs and the most memorable moment in college football, what a career.

Top 10 Changes I Would Like to See In the College Game

1) More student/athletes: If they are going to play for a school they need to go to school.

2) Go back to the old clock rules: Why did they change them in the first place?

3) Mandatory conference title games: The first step towards playoffs.

4) Seven wins to be bowl-eligible: Avoids teams with a losing record participating.

5) No more 1-AA opponents: They can play them but they shouldn't count as 1 of the 12 regular season games.

6) Ditch the bowl tie-ins: Like these games weren't meaningless enough.

7) Make the officials accountable: It gets worse and worse, game after game, year after year.

8) Six Home Games and Six Road Games for everyone: Tough to get a fair comparison with some teams playing nine at home.

9) No more independents: No conference, no postseason; plain and simple.

10) Gameplan in HD: It's bad enough we have to pay to watch the good games, at least make the picture clear.

Top 10 Worst Predictions This Year (at least I can laugh about them)

1) UCLA +7 at BYU: It didn't have to be 59-0 BYU for me to realize how awful that pick was.

2) USC -23 at Oregon State: I wasn't alone but the Beavers were coming off of some bad losses.

3) BYU -2 at TCU: Not as horrible as my YouTube viewers made it out to be, ouch!

4) Rutgers -5 1/2 vs. North Carolina: I won't be forgetting this one too soon.

5) Georgia -7 vs. Alabama: This was a nice call, yeah right.

6) Florida State +17 vs. Florida: My eyes are getting bad, I swear I though it said +117.

7) Miami +3 vs. Georgia Tech: A total homer pick.

8) Ohio State +11 at USC: That was just a bad weekend.

9) Virginia Tech -10 at East Carolina: I almost forgot about this one.

10) Wake Forest -16 vs. Navy: I thought Wake was unbeatable for a week or this year.

Top 10 Games I'm Looking Forward to This Week

1) Manny Pacquiao vs. Oscar De La Hoya: Thanks to Rob Peters, Freddie Roach, and Manny Pacquiao for getting us tickets, I'll see you guys out there this week.

2) Alabama vs. Florida: The Main Event of College Football this year.

3) Army vs. Navy: Real college football tradition.

4) The Big 12 title game: I actually think these guys played one of these every week this year.

5) Ball State vs. Buffalo: A celebration of 2 great seasons.

6) Boston College vs. Virginia Tech: Yeah, the BCS works, one of these teams plays in a BCS game.

7) USC at UCLA: Usually a decent game.

8) South Florida at West Virginia: It's a very light week.

9) Western Kentucky at FIU: I mean it's this light.

10) Louisville at Rutgers: Can you feel the excitement?
