WWE Hell in a Cell 2011: Predictions for Every Match

Sean O'NeilOct 1, 2011

WWE's Hell in a Cell pay-per-view event is set to begin at 8:00 PM this Sunday, and anticipation is growing among fans as they get ready to see if "John Cena goes to hell."

Five matches have been confirmed for the pay-per-view lineup that includes the first ever triple-threat match for the WWE Championship inside Hell in a Cell. I have made my best predictions for each match, including who is going to come out as winners and possibly new Champions.

Here we go!

Sheamus vs. Christian

1 of 5

Sheamus and Christian have a solid rivalry that has brewing for a few weeks now, and they have finally gotten their match together at Hell in a Cell.

I see this rivalry ending with Sheamus coming out on top so he can be next in line for the World Heavyweight Championship, but I do not think that this rivalry will be ending Sunday. It has been heated and fun, and it definitely needs to be extended past Hell in a Cell.

Therefore, I am going to have to pick Christian as the winner of this match. Sheamus will finish this rivalry on top, but in order to extend it, Christian will win either by sneaking in a cheap shot when the referee isn't looking or by count out.

In any case, expect to see a solid match out of these two at Hell in a Cell.

Prediction: Christian Wins

Sin Cara vs. Sin Cara

2 of 5

On SmackDown this Friday, the heel Sin Cara revealed his new outfit, which was black instead of blue. Now we finally get to see the two of them in a match together this Sunday.

The rivalry brewing between these two has been rough, and that is mainly due to the fact that the original Sin Cara can't speak English. We have seen one of the Cara's tossed out of the ring by the other too many times, and now we can finally see how hey do in a match together.

My best guess is that the blue masked Sin Cara will come out on top in this match. There is a lot of potential for this mask to be very exciting when you consider how much flying around the ring that they are capable of doing.

The original Sin Cara will win this match to prove that he is in fact the real Sin Cara, and this will lead to black-masked Sin Cara's true identity.

Prediction: Sin Cara (Blue Mask)

Divas Championship: Kelly Kelly (c) vs. Beth Phoenix

3 of 5

For the third straight pay-per-view event, Divas Champion Kelly Kelly will defend her butterfly title against Beth Phoenix.

Kelly snuck away with victories against Beth at SummerSlam and Night of Champions; but let's be serious, she isn't going to get another roll-up win, right? Or will she?

My prediction for this one is that Beth Phoenix will finally take the belt from Kelly Kelly this Sunday. Kelly will put up a good fight, but I'm guessing that Natalya will end up interfering when the referee isn't looking and Phoenix will be the new Divas Champion.

But don't worry! Kelly will win it back soon enough, and when she does, it will not be a roll-up victory.

Prediction: Beth Phoenix Wins (New Divas Champion)

World Heavyweight Championship: Mark Henry (c) vs. Randy Orton

4 of 5

The stupidest thing that the WWE could do this Sunday would be to take the World Heavyweight Championship form Mark Henry.

The Champion has changed at each of the last three pay-per-views, and doing that for a fourth-straight time would be plain stupid. Also, Henry is on the best run of his career and there is no reason to make him lose steam right now, even if he is facing the Viper, Randy Orton.

Mark Henry will win this match, and if they still allowed blood on WWE programming, this one would be one of the bloodiest. Expect all kinds of cage involvement in this Hell in a Cell match and at least one RKO from Orton, but in the end, Henry will still be the World Heavyweight Champion after hitting a couple of World's Strongest Slams.

Prediction: Mark Henry Wins (Still World Heavyweight Champion)

WWE Championship: John Cena (c) vs. CM Punk vs. Alberto Del Rio

5 of 5

The most anticipated match of the night at Hell in a Cell this Sunday is the triple threat match for the WWE Championship in a Hell in a Cell match between the WWE Champion John Cena, CM Punk and Alberto Del Rio.

The possibilities with this match are endless, and I would bet a lot of money to say that there will be a lot of outside interference in this match. John Lauranitis is neck deep in the conspiracy that has been looming over the WWE; the Miz and R-Truth still have yet to make their return to WWE programming; Kevin Nash lives for screwing over CM Punk at pay-per-views, and David Otunga is leading a team of Superstars who are fed up with the WWE and Triple H.

If there is that much going on in the WWE at one time, it seems impossible that one of those guys won't interfere in the main event at Hell in a Cell.

My prediction for this match is that the WWE Championship changes hands yet again and ends up with our latest former-champion, Alberto Del Rio. Of all the people I listed above, most of them would prefer to see Del Rio win the Championship over Punk or Cena. So when they come to break down the door to the cage, I would fully expect Punk and Cena to receive the ultimate beat down, even if Triple H tries to come to their aid.

This Monday, we shall see our Mexican friend with the championship once again, restoring some of his credibility.

Prediction: Alberto Del Rio Wins (New WWE Champion)
