WWE Hell in a Cell 2011: Why Christian Will Reign over Sheamus
Hell in a Cell 2011 is only three days away. The match that holds most interest, in my opinion, is Christian vs. Sheamus.
These two wrestlers could make it a great match and as much as I like Sheamus, here is why Christian will win on Sunday.
Sheamus has been on a great roll lately, so even if he loses a fair and hard-fought match, it should not affect his shine. He has almost been booked to look like a babyface Mark Henry with how unstoppable he has been.
Sure, he lost to Henry on PPV, but Henry has gone on to become a champion since that fight, so it didn't hurt Sheamus too much in that aspect.
Putting Sheamus in a quick two-week feud with Christian just to be a filler match would be a complete waste for both individuals. Sheamus will likely be the next challenger for the World Championship title after Orton is done, so let this feud play out a little bit to help elevate both guys.
The only way to do this, is to have Christian win Sunday to keep the feud going.
Christian has been booked weak since he first won the championship belt. He needs his credibility reestablished inside the ring to the casual fan.
One way to do this is to win against Sheamus on Sunday. A hard-fought loss for Christian doesn't really do anything for either guy because the way both men have been booked lately, it is expected that Sheamus will steamroll Christian.
Christian doesn't even need to go over clean, but in my mind, that would be the best-case scenario for both guys right now. Even if Christian cheats to win, the feud will continue as Sheamus will want revenge.
These two could put together a string of matches on the level of the Christian/Orton matches a few months back. And in my humble opinion, the way to do this is by Christian winning Sunday.
Keep in mind, this is my opinion of what I think should play out in the best interests for both wrestlers getting more over than they are now. It's not an issue of who's better, stronger and faster. I am a big fan of both wrestlers and will be waiting on the outcome of the match with baited breath.
