NFL Picks Week 4: Predicting the 4 Locks of the Week

John RozumSep 30, 2011

It's a forgone conclusion that every week in the NFL there will be upsets, blowouts and close games.

The hard part is figuring out which games will actually finish in those forms.

Well, to help solve part of the problem, here are four teams locked in to win on Sunday.

Buffalo Bills (over Cincinnati Bengals)

After the Bills Week 3 win over the New England Patriots, Buffalo displayed they know how to win in more ways than one.

First, they had dismantled the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 1, then they came back from down 21-3 against Oakland, kept switching leads, but ultimately got the W despite only forcing two turnovers.

Week 3 versus New England was a replica of the Raiders' game, but this time Tom Brady was under center instead of Jason Campbell. The Bills came back from down 21-0 and picked Brady off four times.

This week the turnover stallions get a rookie QB in Andy Dalton of Cincinnati.

And although he and fellow rookie WR A.J. Green have a lot of potential, the Bengals continue to hurt themselves off the field as well.

Buffalo has more discipline either way, and wins convincingly.

Minnesota Vikings (over Kansas City Chiefs)

With RB Jamaal Charles and safety Eric Berry out, you would have thought that K.C. has hit rock bottom.

Well not yet, because DB Brandon Flowers is currently dealing with an ankle injury and he may not play on Sunday.

That said, RB Adrian Peterson still resides in Minnesota, and if the Vikings could only figure out how to play a full 60 minutes, they'd be 3-0 right now.

However, they have also faced some very formidable opponents. Minny will start out fast again, but this time they stay ahead and dominate the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium.

Vikings 28, Chiefs 9

New Orleans Saints (over Jacksonville Jaguars)

For starters, the Jags' do have a solid defense to their credit, but they have yet to face an offense quite like New Orleans.

QB Drew Brees is off to arguably his best start ever, and the Saints offense keeps rolling along.

As for their defense, they allow a lot more passing yards than coach Sean Payton would like, but they know how to lock things down in crunch time.

Jacksonville RB Maurice Jones-Drew has a solid day, but it's not enough to keep pace with the Saints.

Saints 37, Jaguars 20

Green Bay Packers (over Denver Broncos)

This is the game of the week that could potentially be the most lopsided.

Sure, Denver has an improved defense, but they're still light years away from slowing down the Packers, and Denver's offense will continue to struggle since they don't have a rushing attack.

It's irrelevant as to who's under center in Denver, because you can't have a solid passing attack without at least a halfway decent run game.

Also, Green Bay's defense got back on track in Week 3 after two bad weeks of football, and looks to really send a statement in Week 4.

QB Aaron Rodgers keeps the No. 1 MVP slot, while the Broncos need some help from outer division teams to defeat their AFC West rivals.

Otherwise, Denver is out after only one month.

Packers 36, Broncos 14
