2011 Fantasy Football: NFL Week 4 Sleepers

Ryan LesterSep 30, 2011

Sometimes you need a fantasy gem to be successful. Here is a list of LestersLegends’ under the radar players that could possibly pull out a win for you in Week 4.

Andy Dalton, QB, Cincinnati vs. Buffalo:  Dalton struggled last week. That’s going to happen to rookie quarterbacks. You know he’s going to have to pass a ton this week to keep up with Buffalo’s potent offense. The Bills rank 24th in the league with 271.7 passing yards allowed per game and tied for 27th with seven TD passes allowed.
Honarable Mention:  Blaine Gabbert, JAX vs. NO

James Starks, RB, Green Bay Packers vs. Denver:  Starks was held to five yards on 11 carries last week while Ryan Grant ran for 92 yards on 17 carries. Grant is dealing with a bruised kidney and may not be able to go. Denver has improved against the run this year (ranked 14th), but Starks would still make a nice play thanks to Green Bay’s potent passing attack garnering so much attention.
Honorable Mention:  Jonathan Stewart, CAR @CHI

Mike Thomas, WR, Jacksonville vs. New Orleans:  Thomas has yet to top 55 yards this year, but he’s faced the Titans and the Jets who both rank in the top six in pass defense. Even Carolina, who he faced last week, ranks 14th in the league. Gabbert will lock in on Thomas as he gets adjusted to the pro level. Plus the Saints rank 27th (282 ypg) at stopping the pass.
Honorable Mention:  Titus Young, DET @ DAL

Todd Heap, TE, Arizona vs. New York Giants:  Heap was targeted ten times last week, catching six of them for 61 yards. He’s been limited in practice this week with sore ribs, but that’s nothing new for Heap. The Giants rank 20th against the pass giving up 255 yards per game, 62 of which have gone to tight ends.
Honorable Mention:  Heath Miller, PIT @ HOU

Minnesota Vikings Defense @ Kansas City Chiefs:  Maybe the Vikings can finally play two halves of football. Against the Chiefs, who have been riddled by injury and ineffectiveness, there is a chance. Jared Allen returns to Kansas City coming off an outstanding personal game. He should inspire his defense to pick up that first win of the year.
Honorable Mention:  Tennessee Titans Defense @ Cleveland Browns
