Edge Returns to WWE with a Title Win and a New Hardy to Fight
As any fan of the WWE already knows, this past Sunday both of the WWE's major titles changed hands. John Cena returned and won the World Heavyweight Title from Chris Jericho, and Edge returned and won the WWE title from HHH.
It's kind of funny how two people making their returns the same night both pick up the two biggest titles in the company. It just goes to show that the WWE is desperate for angles that will bring in ratings, and who can blame them for trying.
I truly believe giving the title to Edge was the best move right now. I do think that eventually Jeff Hardy will win the belt, but not from HHH. Edge and Hardy have a feud spanning a decade and to have them meet for the biggest title in the WWE would be a great way to continue the feud.

Most Likely Backlash Heel/Face Turns 🎭
I remember watching the Matt Hardy feud with Edge and thinking to myself, "These guys are born enemies." They had some of the best, most intense matches the WWE has seen in years, from crashing through the sound equipment off the Raw stage to Matt delivering a huge legdrop from the top of a steel cage to a ladder match that sent Matt to Smackdown.
Going back even further, we find that the tag matches between the Hardyz and Edge & Christian were the best tag team programs since, well, ever. Matt and Jeff have both had amazing matches with Edge, which is why I believe that a Jeff Hardy/Edge program has all the potential in the world.
Lately there has been speculation about Christian returning to the WWE after his TNA contract is expired. This would be a huge gain for the WWE as they could reignite the brothers vs. brothers angle to get some old fans back. Everyone knows Edge and Christian are only brothers on TV, but the matches they had with the Hardyz are monumental.
The WWE has put out a DVD set of the Hardyz before either of them had won a world title, which is rare. They also put out a ladder match DVD which featured the Hardys more than anyone else, and I'm sure that Edge's upcoming DVD will have at least one match with these guys. This shows that the WWE realizes what these guys can do together.
Its clear that the potential for great feuds is there, the WWE just needs to keep it fresh and not bore everyone by putting them in more ladder matches. I do love their ladder matches, though.
Maybe have Christian and Matt feud over the ECW title while Jeff and Edge go at it over the WWE title. Imagine if either team were to hold both titles at the same time. Or they could use these teams to make the tag titles look good again. The possibilities are endless.
One thing is for sure, the WWE has a chance to put together some great shows, let's hope they don't ruin it.
