UFC on Versus 6: Predicting the Fight, Submission and KO of the Night
Saturday night's UFC on Versus 6 features a number of amazing fights that are sure to be filled with nonstop action.
The main event features a bantamweight title fight between defending champion Dominick Cruz and challenger Demetrious Johnson.
Co-headlining the event alongside these two warriors will be a heavyweight bout between striking specialist Pat Barry and the daunting Dutch fighter, Stefan Struve.
Here are my picks for Submission, Knockout, and Fight of the Night for UFC on Versus 6.
Submission of the Night: Paul Sass Over Michael Johnson
1 of 3English lightweight Paul Sass has an amazing ground game that will surely test Ultimate Fighter alum Michael Johnson.
Sass, who is undefeated in 11 fights, has won 10 bouts via submission, his most recent win coming over Mark Holst in his UFC debut at UFC 120.
Sass was able to secure a triangle choke to take the fight, which also earned him Submission of the Night honors in his debut.
In Johnson's five career losses, four have been by submission, making it a perfect storm for Sass to take the bonus once again Saturday night.
Knockout of the Night: Pat Barry Over Stefan Struve
2 of 3Heavyweights Pat Barry and Stefan Struve both have had their ups and downs in the UFC.
Struve was recently knocked out via Superman punch at UFC 130 by Travis Browne and Barry was on the wrong end of a knockout comeback when Cheick Kongo put him to sleep at UFC on Versus 4.
Both fighters have had their share of knockout wins, however, with each man owning Knockout of the Night awards on their resumes.
Despite Struve's reach advantage, Barry has a great shot at taking the bonus if he utilizes his superior kickboxing and does not get cocky. This may happen if he starts picking Struve apart, but Barry will need to keep his head in the game if he wants to leave with a knockout.
Based on striking skills alone, Barry has to be the favorite for Knockout of the Night.
Fight of the Night: Dominick Cruz vs. Demetrious Johnson
3 of 3The main draw of the evening, Dominick Cruz, will look to successfully defend his title for the second time as he takes on the dangerous and quick Demetrious Johnson.
Both fighters are known for their fast hands and explosive takedowns, making this fight an interesting matchup of similar styles.
Always putting on a show, Cruz and Johnson will provide nothing short of fireworks as soon as the bell rings.
Don't blink or you might miss some of the most amazing moves by these two explosive and fast fighters in what is sure to be Fight of the Night.
