NFL Predictions Week 4: Tony Romo and the 3 QBs Sure to Get Pulverized

Chris TrapassoJun 6, 2018

If you thought Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo took enough punishment against the Washington Redskins on Monday Night Football, you forgot he faces Ndamukong Suh and the Detroit Lions this Sunday.

Look out.

Romo isn't the only quarterback that'll be running for his life on Sunday. There are a few others who will get pulverized in Week 4, but let's start with Dallas' signal caller...

Tony Romo

Did you see how many hits Romo took on Monday night against the Redskins?

Sure, Washington does have some quality pass-rushers, but the Detroit Lions pose a much bigger threat.

The Cowboys offensive line is still figuring out the correct time to snap the ball and will have their hands full with Suh and his ferocious linemates.

Dallas' line has potential but is very young and inexperienced and will face arguably the best defensive line in football on Sunday.

If I'm Romo, I'm entering this game a little scared, especially with the broken ribs and punctured lung.

Cassel has only been sacked five times this year.

For an 0-3 team that has been severely outplayed, it's not that bad.

However, Jared Allen and his 4.5 sacks come to town this weekend, ready to feast on Cassel, who's often flustered in the pocket when he feels pressure.

As a team, Minnesota has nine sacks, which ranks it seventh in the NFL right now.

Without Jamaal Charles to game-plan for, the Vikings will focus on getting to the Chiefs signal caller.

Blaine Gabbert

I think Gabbert has a bright future in the NFL—I really do.

His Week 4 matchup against the New Orleans Saints will serve as a reminder that all rookie quarterbacks will experience growing pains.

Defensive coordinator Gregg Williams is the blitzing mastermind and will utilize a multitude of different packages Gabbert's way.

New Orleans already has 10 sacks on the year; look for it to add a handful more to that total this week.
