Fantasy Football Week 4 Rankings: Cedric Benson and 4 Top RBs

Chris TrapassoJun 7, 2018

Running backs can single handedly win you games in fantasy football. It's all about finding the best matchups each week.

These three runners will spearhead their team's offensive attack with punishing runs that will lead to huge point production.

Cedric Benson

The Bills' offense has been tremendous this year, averaging an NFL-best 37.7 points per game.

In their last two contests, however, their defense has been anything but tremendous.

They are allowing a hefty 4.7 yards-per-rush and although they've getting beefier up front, they are still susceptible to a big game from an opposing running back.

With Andy Dalton still learning, expect Cincinnati to lean on its feature back in this one.

With a good amount of carries, Benson could wear the Buffalo defense down and finish the game with solid numbers.

Tim Hightower

Hightower has been the workhorse for the Redskins thus far, carrying the ball 59 times through three weeks.

While he hasn't been extremely productive—averaging only 3.5 yard-per-rush—this is is the week to insert Hightower into your starting lineup.

He is facing the St. Louis Rams, the worst run defense in the NFL right now, and after a shaky performance from Rex Grossman against the Cowboys you'd have to think Washington's coaching staff will feature Hightowter prominently in this one.

Michael Turner

How can the Falcons hand the ball to Michael Turner only 11 times?

Sure, they were down at the half against the Buccaneers, but Turner was the centerpiece of their offensive attack last year—a guy that got things going and opened up the passing game for Matt Ryan and Roddy White.

He was ineffective against Tampa Bay, but don't expect that to continue.

Atlanta travels to Seattle this week; although the Seahawks are only allowing 3.1 yards-per-carry, I expect Turner to have a big day with his bruising running style.

The last thing I'd want to deal with if I'm a defense is an angry Adrian Peterson.

He voiced his frustration with the small workload he received in the Vikings second-half collapse against the Lions last week.

Peterson is averaging 5.1 yards per carry, and with much to be desired from the passing game, expect Leslie Frazier to rely on his All-Pro running back throughout.

Huge day for AP.
