NFL Predictions Week 4: Mark Sanchez and the 3 QBs Who Will Be Stymied

Chris TrapassoJun 7, 2018

One minute you're the talk of the town after a win, the next you're the scapegoat following a three-interception performance in defeat.

The ups and downs that come with being an NFL quarterback.

These three signal-callers are facing incredibly tough matchups and will struggle to find a rhythm in Week 4.

Mark Sanchez

Sanchez has actually thrown for 300-plus yards in two of the Jets' three games this year.

He is frequently targeting Santonio Holmes and has slowly incorporated Plaxico Burress into the offense.

With that being said, he didn't make enough plays late to lift New York over Oakland last week, and with what looks to be an overrated defense, they'll need him to win a few games by himself this year.

Against the Ravens, in Baltimore, Sanchez will struggle. Period.

He is somewhat elusive, but they'll send a myriad of blitzes his way and have Ed Reed waiting in center-field.

I don't think Sanchez will be the sole reason the Jets lose this game, but don't expect much from No. 6.

The media is loving Romo right now, having carried the Cowboys to two victories in consecutive weeks with a broken rib and punctured lung.

Criticism returns this week when the Cowboys host Detroit for a showdown with the new-look Lions.

Detroit's pass defense has been one of the best in the league this year and their defensive front anchored by the ferocious Ndamukong Suh has the ability to get after the quarterback (8.0 sacks already)

This game has all the makings of a shootout, and I see Romo regressing in this one. Too much pressure that won't be contained by a shaky, young offensive line.

Kevin Kolb

Kevin Kolb faces his toughest test this weekend when the New York Giants come to town.

His quarterback rating in 93.7 right now having faced the Panthers, Redskins and Seahawks.

Something tells me the Giants will be able to bring a little more heat on Kolb this Sunday. Kolb isn't terrible when facing the blitz, but this is his first wake-up call of the season.

Larry Fitzgerald is a fine security blanket, a guy who can break off his route and make a play when the pocket breaks down, but I see the Giants getting to Kolb early and often, moving him out of his comfort zone.
